Were most cops teased as children?

Just wondering I have heard this several times. I myself am an trooper and I will be honest and tell you I was. My two best friends were also. Other troopers have told us that we bully people but we just do what comes natural. Are there more like us and what should we do about this. I have tried to be nicer to the public but it's really hard after being like this for so long.
