What should I do about a guy I made out with last night?

we used to talk daily for two months but throughout january (when i started liking him) he barely spoke to me so i thought that i had annoyed him in some way. this was when i asked him to the sadie hawkins dance and we went last night. I found out last night from his friend that he has just been shy but has really liked me for 3 months and was considering asking me out. he made the moves quite early in the night lol so we spent most of the time hooking up and dancing but the conversation was limited unfortunately. I was tired and not on my a-game, and also his shyness is intimidating/doesn't give me much to work with. So last night i overheard a conversation with his friend, and in the context i knew it was about me. He told his friend "probably not" and his friend asked "how definite is that?" and he said it wasn't definite, but he wasn't sure. I umed it was about asking me out. I don't know if I like him because he's hard to get to know, but now i am definitely interested. Should I just try really hard to be flirty this week or is it over?
